These littl'ies are the Primary grade that skated after the Opening
Ceremony. Some of them are very talented performers & skaters for
their ages (Under 9) & were followed by the senior events of the
evening.
With the moving up of a few skaters from Junior to Senior, the Ladies
free had the most competitors for many years. These skaters made a
commendable effort against a World ranking Tenth placed Sarah-Jane
Jones, but could not match the performances of the more internationally
experienced Sarah-Jane & Freyja Phillips
The Mini Show team from Christchurch was the first to compete in this
event since it's introduction this year. They looked to be having a lot
of fun & we hope in the future that we can produce a team to contest
at the World Championships, in which this event is becoming one of the
highlights.
