The Wanganui Jubilee stadium is an excellent artistic skating competition facility. The floor is large, fast & has a lot of grip. Thanks to all the officials who helped to wet mop the floor & keep it in this condition. As a skater I can attest to this making a very large contribution to the enjoyment of my skating.

| The 'Nationals practice
day' of old has almost disappeared with the new block structure
introduced by the organisers. This has wide appeal as it enables
training to be closer to the events hence it was applauded by the
skaters in a recent survey. In addition to this we'd also like to see an
introduction of an artistic Area training for a few hours each prior to
the official start of Nationals to give the skaters more time to adjust
to the floor and arrange patterns. This would enable better performances
at a National level.

| Congratulations to the
Westies. I believe all skaters placed in the two two in every event.
This is a fantastic achievement & we look forward to all of you
continuing your success throughout the rest of 2007
Westies on Wheels newest feature is to comment on some of the events at the championships we are present. We will still endeavour to provide photographs where possible but due to our photographer 'going pro' the occurrences may reduce. At this stage following the reviews the photo pages will be posted & depending on your feedback we may have more to add. If you would like us to upload more photo's please email, leave a comment on the message board or in the guestbook. If you inundate us with requests it ensures we are catering to the needs of our audience. |
